Jerome Robins is an electronic music producer and DJ hailing from Toronto, Canada. Raised in Washington DC, he embarked on his music journey while living in London, England during the 1990s, fully immersing himself in the vibrant UK dance culture. After playing numerous clubs across London and the UK, he decided to return home to Toronto to further pursue his passion.
In 2000, Jerome co-founded Release Records, a renowned record shop that swiftly rose to prominence as one of the world's premier 'tastemaker' music destinations for world class DJs. Heavyweight such as Tiesto, Steve Lawler, Paul Oakenfold, and many others frequented the shop on a regular basis, drawn by its reputation for offering cutting-edge, upfront music.
During this period, Jerome also honed his production skills and released his debut track in 2004. The track garnered recognition being featured on Deep Dish's Global Underground Afterhours CD and Sander Kleinenberg's prestigious Little Mountain imprint, solidifying Jerome's distinctive style that spans across various genres, from club house to tech.
Presently, Jerome dedicates his time to full-time production, teaching and touring as a DJ, showcasing his musical productions. Despite his demanding schedule, Jerome has created originals and remixes for esteemed labels such as Atlantic, Sony, CR2, Farris Wheel, Hot Fuss, Suara, Kittball, Toolroom, Stereo Productions, Star 69, and many other top-tier dance imprints. Additionally, Jerome has collaborated with renowned artists including Fatboy Slim, Boy George, and Idris Elba, while also remixing tracks by notable industry heavyweights such as Danny Tenaglia, Chus & Ceballos, Eddie Amador, DJ Dan, Victor Calderone and more.
Jerome's studio work is clearly reflected in the online sales charts, with well over 300 of his tracks entering the prestigious Beatport and Traxsource charts since 2010. Among these achievements, he's secured three #1 Beatport hits and holds the record for the best-selling track in Beatport's jackin' house genre sales history.
