Jerome Robins presents his Ableton 11+ Free Stereo Imaging Rack. Stereo imaging is a method employed in audio production to expand and enhance the spatial characteristics of sound. This technique involves the manipulation of a stereo signal, dividing it into two components: the mid signal and the side signal.
The mono bass knob allows you to select the frequency for monophonic bass and aids in maintaining phase coherence, ensuring mono compatibility, and reducing phasing issues. Stereo bass may introduce problems with phasing, and choosing to mono frequencies helps center the focus, resulting in a cleaner and more defined low-end, allowing other elements in the mix to have space.
